VA, 27July - 2 Aug (US)
We stayed in Uncle Bill's house in VA.. this place is super duper ulu.. but his house is super duper BIG.. in the forest.. There's nth around this area except trees n mre trees.. at night, u hear all kinds of animal sounds.. it's a nice place to relax n slack.. bascially, i helped grandma to prepare meals, washed the dishes n go cycling while derek n dinah helped out ard the house.. from cleaning up the pool to trimming the trees.. everynight after dinner, uncle drove us to MAD HOUSE to use the internet n we will hang ard till 11pm n drove back to slp. they played pool n table tennis in MAD HOUSE though there was a pool table in uncle bill's house. We simply jus wanna get out of the FOREST!! hee..
I created this on one of the evening (it was on-the-spot invention) hee..
I called it "Pan fried Potato Sushi".
if u wanna noe how to make it, ask me bah..
30July..

My ONLY proper western meal in USA.. bcos we ate chinese food most of the time as grandma needs to eat rice. the mashed potatoes was superb! everything was yummy!
After lunch, we went to tour the house. The package was US$21 (Food + Entrance Fee)

Inner pockets used by ladies in the past.. n today, we had pockets sewed into our pants..

It was sooo HOT.. everyone went out of the car to look at the grapes n i refused to leave the car.. uncle n grandma used reverse psychology on me oso doesnt work.. in the end, dinah volunteered to shelter me (wif my umbrella) to get me out of the car..of course i applied lots of sunblock lar haha but i sheltered myself in the end.. n after taking THIS photo.. i ran back into the car.. soo hot lor..

Quoted from Dinah, "L,M,S,XS"

we bought 2 cartons of peaches back.. n of course we ate a few free apples fresh from the trees!

Washington D.C 26July (US)
After arriving in D.C n checking into the hotel that is right behind the White House, Dinah, Derek n I went to explore this area around 2pm. It was soo hot, i melted. Both of them din allow me to bring my umbrella n so i had to depend on my Yankee Cap n 2 layer of sunblocks..
With a D.C. map, we explore d this place by FOOT...
First stop, the House Where Lincoln Died (this is the name of the house.. wat a funny name)

The FBI building!! The building was closed but the lights were on in some units.
a MUST-VISIT place in D.C.
Issac Singer, the one who invented the sewing machine

A beautiful piece.. how i wished it could b mine..

Mammal = Hair + Milk + Special Earbones!!

After 2 hrs, Dinah n I CMI (cannt make it) le.. it's simply too hot n so we walked back to the hotel n slp.. Derek went out again to explore the rest of D.C..
Uncle, Derek n I walked to Chinatown (20mins away) to get dinner for everyone @8++
Dinner was @ Chinatown Express, it's hidden in a corner.. Cheap n big portion of food! I paid for this meal abt US$40 n derek paid for the tips. (15% of the total bill - US$6)

Verdict: D.C has many museums n most are FREE n super BIG.. prepare to b melted under the sun during the summer when in D.C.. other than that, there's nth much in D.C.. jus a place to see all the museums..

verdict on shoppin in us..
simply head down to the factory outlets n forget abt the malls or NYC 5th Ave (the only store u can visit is Abercombie Flagship Store at 560 5th Ave 56th Street) but expect to b drunk when u enter as the entire 4 levels haf very dim lighting n SUPER LOUD N CLUBBING music.. i suffer from headache when i was in there for the 40 mins.. not to mention that i had to run to (15mins) and fro (15mins) from 44th street to 56th street bcos uncle only gave me 1.5hrs!
we went to about FOUR premium factory outlet Mall (all the famous brands u can find in US) n 2 outlet malls haha.. since we haf the GPS.. the biggest one was WOODBURY Premium Outlets.. where i spent half of my $ on the 12 lesportsac bags.. b prepare to go WAH when u enter these factory outlets due to the following:
1. the price are much lower than those in stores n u get to try. all the things r brand new!
2. the amount of stores available (the smallest we visit haf abt 100, the biggest - woodbury has 200+ branded stores, anything from chanel to gap)
3. the amount of items in the stores made me blurred, i guess by now, i shld haf developed phobia for stores with a lot of items on display.. i simply haf no idea where to start from .. hee..
*U ned a car to get to these premium factory outlet malls bcos they r super ulu.. parking is free
*wear a cap for the hot weather , a tee shirt, slipper n shorts bcos u ned to change fast to max time unless u haf the whole day there then pls take ur time.. we only had between 1.5-4hrs to visit the 100-200++ (woodbury) stores..zzz (i wore this attire n walked into chanel, burberry, fendi etc.. the staff were friendly n did not give me weird stares like those in SINGAPORE!)
* forget abt bringing a bag, i simply tucked my wallet at the back of my shorts.. fast for payment n easy when in the changing room
*lastly, u ned a lot of $$ hee..
